I want to use my GPS for geocaching. Its obvious by looking at the map it came with that I need to download a different map. By sounds of things a topo map perhaps? I need to know what suggestions you have for the map that I get and do i have to get it from garmin. They are so expensive i hate to pay over 100.00 dollars for map. Can i download right from the internet?

I bought a garmin 200 gps and im trying to update the maps online. The problem is when i plug the usb cable into the computer, my computer does not recognize the device.. It doesnt do anything, usually an icon will pop up saying new hardware detected.. but not this time. Any help would be greately appreciated

I have a garmin etrex legend and i want to take some measurements by driving my car. But the gps looses the signal inside the car. So I was wondering.. Is garmin etrex legend compatible with external antennas? If so could you suggest some models compatible?

Will I damage the battery on my garmin gps(nuvi 250) if i recharge it with an ac adapter before the battery is completely dead?

I’d to invest in turn-by-turn GPS navigation software for use whilst driving. I don’t want to invest in a separate GPS unit (cables, charging, updates… yuck) but am unsure as to the merits of the two competing software packages on the market. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks!
