For example, compared to the Garmin Nuvi series, or something similar. Is it like comparing apples to oranges?
Can some phones be used as car navigation? How good are they at pedestrian navigation?
I’m considering buying a GPS, probably a Garmin Nuvi 750, but if my next cell phone might fulfill the same duties, maybe I won’t.

I have unlimited data plan on my phone. I am willing to buy any software allowing me to use GPS navigation on my phone utilizing my data plan. However I am not aware of any software of that kind. (I don’t want to buy a GPS receiver)

Phone – HTC Touch
OS – Windows Mobile 6
Unlimited internet data plan

I’m trying to decide whether to purchase the blackberry 8120 (which has wifi) or wait for the 8130 (GPS)?
What is the difference though? I am aware what wifi is but what exactly does GPS do?
